10 Days Druk Path Trek – Tour Overview

The tours extends from western parts of Paro, Thimphu and Punakha up to central part of Bumthang. Druk- Path Trek is highlight in this tours apart from cultural and spiritual journey. Druk Path Trek is fairly short and easiest trek with 6 or more days which offers a good introduction to Trekking in Bhutan. The trek Commenced from Paro near Jeledzong and finished at Thimphu which lies in the adjacent valley. The trek ascends nearly 2000m with a high point of 4200m (13776 ft). Our gradual climb followed the trail passing meadows, overly dense alpine forest, colorful rhododendron, regular yak herds, deep valley, the beautiful view of mountain Gangker Phuensum, the highest mountain in Bhutan, and much more. You will get full leisure to capture and recreate authenticity of its beauty and melt yourself in it.

- Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery – (It is the most important and religious significance to Bhutanese people as well as to Buddhism world. It is the most visited and photographed of all the monuments in Bhutan)
- Visit to Kyichu Lhakhang (It is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo)
- Lunch in Paro town.
- Visit to Paro Dzong
- Viist to National Museum.

- The dwarf rhododendron trees, the lake of Janetso, the beautiful view of mountain Gangker Phuensum, the highest mountain in Bhutan.
- Phajoding monasteries and Thimphu town is visible at the valley floor.

- Altitude 3,250 m; Distance 21 Km; Time 7 – 8 hours.

- The trek to Thimphu is down – hill through blue pine forest. It will take about 2hrs.
- Lunch at Thimphu.
- Visit Thimphu Weekend Market.
- Visit Trachichho Dzong (is an architectural delight and houses the throne room, and the office of His Majesty the king and the ministries of home affairs and finance)
- A visit to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) (This gigantic statue of Shakyamuni measures in at a height of 51.5 meters, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world)
- Dinner at Hotel

- Drive to Punakha over dochula pass (3150m).
- Stop at Dochula pass for photography.
- At Punakha, visit to Punakha Dzong, the most beautiful Dzong in Bhutan.
- Lunch at Punakha.
- Drive back to Thimphu.
- Evening at leisure.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu hotel.

TREKKING
There will be hard skilled Bhutanese licensed trek guide, a well experienced cook and helper accompanying you throughout your journey and at least one horse man to carry all provisions and belongings. The tour operator will arrange every possible trekking requirement such as sleeping tents, cooking Utensils, hot water bag and many others.
